Between the second and final year of my studies at the University of Portsmouth, I completed a 12-month placement at a London-based event-tech company, Totem.

 

I worked as a Video Production Intern within the Backstage team, and my responsibilities involved designing animated showopeners, stings, bumpers and lower thirds for clients using After Effects; working onsite at corporate events to shoot speaker interviews, voxpops and highlights videos; editing the content I shot into social content and promo videos and maintaining the company's kit room and in-house broadcast studio.

I also had the exciting opportunity to shoot at events both in the UK and abroad, working in destinations such as Barcelona, Vienna and Brussels, and have made some lasting connections during my time.
